Dean Bachelor

Dean Bachelor is the founder and chairman of Platinum Group and brings more than 35 years of entrepreneurial, investment and business management experience to Platinum. Dean has been named chairman, CEO or president of more than two dozen companies experiencing a serious transition. He also is Chairman of the Platinum Group Holdings Investment Committee and oversees equity investments for the firm’s private equity fund. Dean has acted as a mentor and business advisor to hundreds of business owners who have experienced challenging times. He not only assists many clients who are in a crisis or transition, but also acts as a friend and confidant at a time when they need one the most.

His knack for discovering, unlocking and focusing on the true, inherent value of every organization, then finding unique and creative ways to restore and manage shareholder value, has enabled him to be regarded as a consummate turnaround artist, often radically changing the fortunes of those who are experiencing extraordinarily difficult times. He is also the recipient of the 2004 Turnaround Management Association’s Turnaround of the Year Award.

Dean sits on a number of boards of directors for firms ranging from a $9 million service company to a $150 million manufacturer. He has been an adjunct university faculty member, author and trainer on leadership and management practices.

Dean is involved in several faith-based organizations, enjoys boating, bicycling, tennis, riding his motorcycle on country roads, snorkeling & diving on the reefs near his home in the Bahamas and hanging out with his family, including four grown children and seven grandchildren.
